Barbed Wire Massacre
- A Barbed Wire Massacre Match is a match where the ring ropes are barbed wire and the weapons themselves are wrapped in barbed wire as well.
Chained Fury Match
- All of the ring ropes are replaced by steel chains, and all of the turnbackle pads are removed, exposing the steel bolts holding the ropes together. Wrestlers can either be chained by the wrists, like in a Chain Match, or the necks, like in a Dog Collar Match.

- The Clockwork Orange House of Fun match, also known as Raven's House of Fun, was created by professional wrestler Raven (legitimately, as Raven pitched the idea himself to TNA's creative team). It is a singles match for which a chain link wall is erected on one side of the ring with chains wrapped from it to various points on the ring itself with weapons hanging from them. the only way to win is to put an opponent through two tables after throwing them off "Raven's perch" (a small scaffold).
Coals, Glass, and Tacks Deathmatch
- In this match hot coals, broken glass, and thumbtacks are placed around the ring. Inside of the ring, there is a glass pane in every corner and bags of tacks behind them. The way to win this match is by pinfall on the outside of the ring.

- This is where chains are used and are strapped to the necks of both wrestlers.
Hangman's Horror match
- The objective in this match is to choke the opponent with a dog collar, which is hanging from the ring post, until they can no longer continue.
Kennel from Hell match
- The Kennel from Hell match is a Hell in a Cell variation "conceived" by wrestler Al Snow in the WWF during his short-lived feud with The Big Boss Man in mid-1999. In this match the Hell in a Cell cage is placed over the ring, which is already equipped with a standard Steel Cage. Two dogs that are starved for weeks are placed in between. The object is simply to escape from the structure.
King of the Mountain Match
- The King of the Mountain match is described as a "reverse ladder match". Instead of retrieving an object hanging above the ring, the winner is the first person to use a ladder to hang a championship belt above the ring—after having scored a pinfall or submission (pinfalls count anywhere) to earn the right to try. A wrestler who has been pinned or forced to submit must spend two minutes in a penalty box.
Monster's Ball
- The key premise of the match was that all contenders are sequestered alone in a locked room without light, food or water for twenty-four hours before the match. This stipulation is intended to induce extreme feelings of aggression in the competitors. Once released, the wrestlers fight one another in a no disqualification match, with the usage of weapons encouraged. Victory can be achieved by pinfall or submission, with the match ending as soon as one wrestler is pinned or submits (there is no elimination format).
Nevermore Deathmatch
- The Nevermore Deathmatch is a No Disqualification, no Count Out, No Rules, Falls count anywhere Deathmatch. The only way to win is the get a pinfall or submission and then make your oponnent say the word "Nevermore". In this match the ring is loaded with weapons with two sides of the ring surrounded by cage walls. On the outside of the ring are more weapons alongside tables, ladders, light tubes, Glass panes, liquor bottles, books, and trash cans full of thorny roses. Any weapon is legal and the first person to get a pinfall or submission then make their opponent say "Nevermore" is declared the winner.
The Panic Room
- In this match-up two wrestlers go one on one in a No Rules Match. First member to Escape the Panic Room is the winner. The set-up is simple. A small room is set up and many different weapons are hung from the ceiling, tied to the walls, and placed in trash cans around the room. Both members must fight to get out. The door only opens every time a pin or submission is made successfully.
Ragnarok'n Roll Glass Crush Death Match
- A Ragnarok'n Roll Glass Crush Death Match is a match where glass is a main factor. There are glass panes in each corner, glass weapons, glass panes on the outside, and a glass box is usually present. There are 2 ways to win this match. The original way to win is by pin or submission. Another alteration of the match says that if you put your opponent through the glass box, you will win.
Taipei Deathmatch
- A Taipei Deathmatch is a match where the wrestlers' fists are taped and dipped into glue and in broken and crushed glass, allowing shards to stick to their fists. Win by Pin, Submission or Escape.
Xscape Match
- The Xscape match is featured annually at the TNA Lockdown all-steel-cage pay-per-view in April. This variation of the Lockdown Match has 4–6 competitors and the only way to win is to climb out of the cage all the way to the floor.
